Mettimi come un sigillo sul tuo cuore Julian Allwood is a lecturer at Imperial
College in London. He studied engineering at Cambridge and Imperial College,
and composition and piano at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
His compositions which are mainly for voices have been performed by a
number of choirs and soloists, mainly in London and Oxford. The musical
Trilby was shortlisted for the Vivien Ellis prize. Julian
was selected for the Royal Opera House Garden Venture project for new
operas, leading to a video opera recorded at the Dartington Summer School.
He has conducted the Royal London Hospital Choral Society, The Music Makers,
the chamber choir Iota, the Shipton Festival, the Ewelme Festival, and
until 1999 was musical director of The Singers of London, who gave the
first performance of Charades 111 & IV in June 1998. Back to shortlist. |
